When you invite guests to your project, you can decide whether they are also able to upload content or only comment.
In this article, we’ll explain:
Invite Guests to a Project
By default all projects are private until you create a public share-link or invite guests with their email addresses. Guests can only access projects that they have been invited to see. Also, when initially invited, guests have comment-only access.
To invite a guest to a project, you can invite users one of these three ways:
Enable the share-link
By enabling and sharing a share-link for a project, guests will be able to access the project with the link. When accessing the project, they will be asked to leave their email so you know who has seen the project. Guests can share this share link with their colleagues.
To invite with a share-link, follow these steps:
Click the share button in the top right
Enable the share-link
Share the share-link via email, Slack, SMS, etc. with your reviewer
Any guest that accesses Oroson with a share link will have 'Comment Only' permissions. You can update this by changing their permissions.
Invite guests via email if share-link is enabled
By enabling the share link and inviting a guest via email, a public share link will sent to them so the can access Oroson. When accessing the project, they will be asked to leave their email so you know who has seen the project. The emailed link is sharable, so guests can share this share link with their colleagues.
To invite via email with an enabled share-link, follow these steps:
Click the share button in the top right
Enable the share-link
Add the email address of the guest you'd like to invite
Optionally, add a message
Send the invite
Invite guests via email without enabling the share-link
By inviting a guest via email and not enabling the share-link, a magic link will sent to their email so only the authenticated invited user can access Oroson. The emailed link is not sharable. You can learn more about Guest Security in this help article.
To invite via email without an enabled share-link, follow these steps:
Click the share button in the top right
Ensure the share-link is disabled
Add the email address of the guest you'd like to invite
Optionally, add a message
Send the invite
Once your reviewer has been invited, they will be able to access Oroson without signing-up for an account.
Review which Guests have accessed your project
In Oroson, you can always see anyone that has accessed your project even if they decide to not leave any comments. When someone enters your project for the first time, they are asked to leave their name and email. This gives your team log of all project viewers.
To review who has accessed your project, follow these steps:
Go to the project
Select the circle avatars in the top-right, this will open a drop-down
View the names and emails under 'Guests'
If the Guest has a name and an email address listed under the 'Guests' section, they have accessed your project.
