Reasons to use Notes and Stickies

There are many reasons why teams use notes and stickies on their projects. The most common reasons include:

  1. Introducing the team
    Introduce the account manager, share direct contact and company details.

  2. Giving details on the project
    Add a description of the project so everyone knows what this project entails, this can include a short sentence or the entire project brief.

  3. Giving instructions
    Within a group or section, add large text and use the traffic light system so your team and guests understand what is expected of them.

Creating Notes and Stickies

Creating a note or sticky on a project is quite simple! To create one, just follow these instructions:

  1. Go to the project where you want to add free form text

  2. Select the ‘+’ in the section where you’d like the note to live

  3. Choose “Note” or “Sticky”

  4. Type what you’d like to add

  5. Push “Save”

Differences of Notes and Stickies

Notes and stickies are similar since they are both places you can add text that will be visible by all project members and guests. However, there are some unique features on each which can help you decide which item you prefer to use.

Notes:

Best for long free form text.

With notes you can:

  • Use different heading tags

  • Add typographical emphasis

Stickies:

Best for short free form text

With stickies you can:

  • Select a custom background color
