Oroson notifies you both in the application and via email about updates to any project where you are a teammate or guest. Teammates can manage notifications on both a project and workspace level.

By using the Workspace Notifications, you can control the type of notifications you receive for any project you’re invited to collaborate on. You can also override these notification settings on individual projects. You can learn more about notification types in this article.

Notifications are completely customizable so you will be able to choose the types of notifications which are sent and where you’d like receive them.

In this article, you will learn:

Reasons to use project level settings

There are many reasons why Oroson users use project specific notifications, but here are the two most common reasons:

  • Project Visibility
Users may want to be involved with a project since they will be asked to jump in when necessary. However, they may not want to get email or in-app notifications on every update.

  • Emails for only ‘important’ updates
Users may want to be email notified with certain projects that are of high importance but would prefer in-app notifications for other projects.

Oroson Desktop App

If you choose to disable email notifications, we highly recommend that you download the Oroson Desktop app for either Mac or Windows. This will allow you to be instantly notified on any updates that are important to you without having to open the browser version of Oroson.
